About the Teacher

I am very proud that my husband and I and all of our 6 children are St. Philip
and Bishop Canevin graduates. Our children are also graduates of Duquesne
University and Notre Dame with 4 holding Master's degrees and 1 CPA.

Our family strongly believes in Catholic Education and are now beginning over
again with our three grandsons and twin granddaughters attending Catholic
School!

I have a B.S. In Elementary Education from Duquesne University and,
with assistance from the Heinz Grant, I completed the Instructional Technology
Certification Program at Duquesne University and hold a Master's in
Instructional Technology from Duquesne, and a Level II PA certification in
Elementary Ed and Bus-Computer-Info Tech K-12. I have also completed  IC3
Microsoft certification through Bishop Canevin High School.

In addition to my computer classes, I am the enrichment co-ordinator for SPS
and direct the Thinking Caps program, Forensics, Respect Life Program, GRACE
Program, and Chess Club. I also submit the SPS news to the Church bulletin,
our local publications and Pittsburgh Catholic and manage our Website.

In 2002, I was very honored to receive the Golden Apple Award from the Diocese
of Pittsburgh. I love teaching computers and all my other "activities" at St
Philip School.  St. Philip is my home.
